THE STORY OF THE POTTERY CLASS ⚱️
This story can be related to sports in several ways, highlighting the importance of practice, perseverance, and embracing the process over fixating on perfection.
Practice Makes Permanent.
Learning from Mistakes.
Resilience and Adaptability.
Balancing Perfection with Action.
Overall, the story emphasizes the importance of embracing the process, learning from mistakes, and prioritizing consistent effort and action over the pursuit of perfection. These principles are applicable not only in sports but also in various aspects of life where continuous improvement and resilience are key to success.
Must Add Action 🎥
Horns Ghost Wide.
Favorite action so far in the college 🏀 season.
Bansho 📈
• It’s a way of teaching through problem-solving.
• it allows students to see connections & progressions of the thinking involved when developing strategies to solve a problem
Making connections is how we learn best- how can coaches utilize Bansho in their coaching?
They can involve players in play creation, they can ask more questions in the film room. They can utilize it in player development & recruiting!
More on this idea next week 👉🏼
BONUS - 🚨 Drill of the week!
SET-UP: Break up into two teams divided equally. One team begins with two defenders in the half-court (red) and the other on offense (black). The remaining players make two lines, one on each sideline, on the half of the court that they will be on while playing offense.
STEP 1: Offense plays 2 on 2 vs. the defense in the half court. Once the ball is scored or rebounded, the two offensive players must transition back to be on defense at the other end. Red must inbound the ball to the coach at half court.
STEP 2: The coach will then throw ahead to the first red player in line, and they will play 2 on 2 vs. the transitioning defense team. This repeats again and again
STEP 3: Every basket is worth 1 point. The first team to 10 is the winner.
Until next week.
