Your ultimate legacy will be what kind of teammate you were 💭

Brad Stevens said, "This game is about how you act as a teammate."

"This game is about what you do from the standpoint of supporting one another, embracing roles, accepting roles."

Being a great teammate means being a person of character.

It's not always easy having WE > Me.

🚨 Coaches, ask your players this question, and players, reflect on it for yourself:

Do your teammates truly enjoy playing alongside you?

Thanking the passer in basketball is about much more than simple etiquette; it’s a vital practice that fosters trust, teamwork, and positive culture.

How Did It All Start?

In the 60s and 70s a conversation between Dean Smith and John Wooden triggered a basketball tradition of generosity and unselfishness. The goal was to initiate an overt gesture to build a team culture of acknowledgment and togetherness. In the end, Coach Smith asked players on his North Carolina men’s basketball teams to recognize the unselfish act of a teammate passing them the ball.
